Achievements and Goals

I haven't blogged for a while, and this one will be really short. It seems that when I come up with a great idea to write about, I'm no where near a computer.

Anyway, today is my thirty-fourth birthday, and I wanted to capture a goal for the future.

In the week leading up to the end of the first third of my life, I achieved new heights with my personal strength.

Squat: 160# in 7 sets of 8
Bench: 200# in 3 sets of 8
Shoulder Press: 160# in 3 sets of 10

I finished all sets with a little left in the tank, which means continued progression. I've also noticed improved recovery times over the past couple of months, which helps keep the positive vibes flowing.

Now, the goal. Those numbers aren't terribly impressive. At sixty-eight (the end of the next third of my life) I want to record better totals. Not to much better, though, because achieving even more at one-hundred and two might be a little difficult.
